“My fiancee and I tied the knot in Cabo, Mexico in January and we were so grateful to have Barbara along our side from day one.”.

We are a bit unique, in that we originally planned to have our wedding in Chicago. We booked the venue, the DJ and almost booked the caterer when my mother unexpectedly passed away. Due to this, our original vision just didn’t feel right. So after some discussion we decided to get married by the ocean as that is where I had spread the ashes of my mom and grandmother.

We let Barbara know we were happy to pay off our contract with her and understand if she doesn’t want to commit to planning our Cabo wedding but she didn’t even hesitate and jumped right in! In the end she was incredibly helpful, especially the day of and even the day after (we had a flower issue and she got us a partial refund in addition to correcting as much as possible day of) She balanced our desires well, we wanted a view of the ocean but not a beach wedding and she made the whole look and feel so elevated.

She did a great job providing her opinion and expertise but not pressuring when we shared ours. We weren’t as traditional about our wedding and she respected that and made sure all of the special parts of the day went off perfectly! She made sure that even in another country our vision came to life and advocated for us when necessary! We couldn’t have had the best weekend of our lives without her and our vision was complete.

Barbara did a phenomenal job planning our wedding and was extremely valuable to me on the day.

I don’t know what I would have done without her. First and foremost, Barbara found us our perfect wedding venue Armour House in Lake Forest, IL. She did extensive research and found us the perfect place that suited both of our British backgrounds; it was the perfect stately home setting with picturesque gardens. Barbara came with us to view the venue and helped negotiate a great price that was well within our budget. Leading up the wedding, Barbara helped me pick out my color theme, florist, invitations and was extremely helpful in putting our wedding website together. On the wedding day itself, Barbara was amazing. She was on top of everything and made sure the day went to plan. In addition to her main duties, Barbara helped with the table planning, reception room decor, photos (taking quite a few good photos earlier in the day as our photographer was late) and many many other elements. Barbara was a life saver on many occasions even performing a quick fix to my dress before the 1st dance (thanks Barbara!).

Overall we were extremely satisfied with the planning service and professionalism that Barbara provided and would not hesitate to recommend her to any couple getting married.

My partner and I met with several planners during the wedding planning process. Hands down, Barbara was our top choice among them.

She came highly recommended from another vendor, and she has had vast experience in the field. In 2019, we hired her as our day-of-coordinator. Since then, she has been such an asset in working with our wedding vendors. Our vendors ranged in their experience working in the wedding industry. Some of our vendors required more hands-on support, which she provided. We had our original wedding scheduled for April 2020. As you can imagine with the pandemic, our plans were upended 4 weeks before the wedding date. Our wedding has been rescheduled 3 times now, and Barbara has been a phenomenal lifeline for my partner and me. She’s been an advocate working with our venue, which hasn’t been the most flexible in rescheduling. She has ensured that our vendors have our contracts rewritten for each postponement. She is a detail-orientated, communicative, and flexible planner.

We are so excited to continue working with her for our final rescheduled wedding in January 2022.

If an issue did arise, Barbara was quick to have it taken care of. Barbara has a website portal where she keeps everything for the couple including budget, contracts, timeline, checklist, etc. and she even created our wedding website for us, navigated RSVPs, coordinated stationary design/ordering, and many, many more tasks where she went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. She wears many hats as she even created and provided our backdrop for us to meet our wedding vision. I can’t even BEGIN to say how AMAZING working with Barbara was.

I am not exaggerating when I say we would have been completely lost without her. I was definitely a difficult bride, in that we were planning at a distance and balancing very very busy work schedules as we planned, but despite my being a stressed, neurotic mess at times, Barbara went above & beyond to ensure that our big day went off without a hitch. She was also amazing at handling some very ‘strong’ (read: stubborn) voices from the peanut gallery in both sides of the family, and took everything in stride (in situations where even I wanted to strangle people, and I’m related to them!). She made me feel important & I felt the whole time that our wedding was a priority for her – never rushed, never stressed, and never like ‘just another client’. From the big stuff (chasing down vendors, figuring out all the logistics, reminding me of deadlines that slipped my mind) to the tiniest of details (I forgot all the batteries for my flameless candles at home on the day of, and she still managed to make sure the hall looked STUNNING), she handled everything with outstanding professionalism, friendliness, and a calm demeanor that made me feel completely at ease & confident that everything was going to be okay…
