Who is Behind the Camera
My name is Rachel Mandel, and I am the owner and lead photographer at Mandelette Photography.
A bit about my business: I started photography back in 2011, associate shooting for wonderful people in the industry, and gaining a world of experience. I then went on to open Mandelette in 2017, where I photographed my first wedding solo on the crown of the Tribune Tower.
I immediately fell in love with this industry, my couples, and operating a business. Since then, I have won the Couples Choice Award for four years in a row, and have been published internationally.
I have been able to blend my love for making others happy with creating beautiful imagery, and have since shot a plethora of weddings at the top Chicago venues.
My Passion
Working at such esteemed venues, I thrive on creating a bright, fine-art, ethereal look in my imagery through utilizing natural light to my advantage and being a pro at indoor flash! No matter the locale, no matter your race, gender identity, body size, or background, I aim to make you GLOW with radiance in your images so that you see yourself as fine art.
There is no cheesy posing, and everything looks very natural due to our editorial meets documentary shooting style, and bright, properly exposed editing style.
